Mesotherapy

What is mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy (mesolift/ biorevitalization/ mesoglow) is one of the most effective skin treatments to achieve hydrated and nourished skin. Mesotherapy delivers hyaluronic acid, vitamins, minerals and amino acids directly into the skin to nourish and rejuvenate, promote production of collagen and elastin, and stimulate your metabolism. As your skin ages, circulation decreases, and the resulting reduction of oxygen and nutrients hinders your body's ability to flush out toxins. This is what drives premature aging and causes the skin to develop an ashen appearance. Mesotherapy is used to treat the scalp to promote healthy hair growth, diminish hair loss, hidrate and nourish the skin.

How is mesotherapy performed?
In our clinic we first do a diamond microdermabrasion and then needle mesotherapy as this combination has shown to bring the best out of mesotherapy. Prior to injections an anesthetic cream is applied for a comfortable treatment.

How long does a treatment take?
40 minutes.

How long till results are seen?
Immediately after treatment, patients commonly describe their skin as looking rested, radiant, glowing and firmer. Mesotherapy can be used a supplement to many anti-aging regimens, including botox, laser resurfacing, peels, antioxidants, topical creams and facelifts.

How to care of the skin after mesotherapy?
You may practice your everyday skin care routine; however, it is recommended to hydrate the skin more often.
You may resume your daily activities immediately after the procedure.

How frequently are the treatments done?
For the first 4 months mesotherapy treatments are done 1-2 times a month. Maintenance treatments are done every 3 months.

Who shouldn't undergo mesotherapy?
People with skin infections, allergies to ingredients in a mesotherapy coctail, pregnant and lactating women as well as people with unrealistic expectations.

What are unwanted side effects?
Mild redness may appear and it fades within minutes to hours. Very rarely bruising may occur.

Who can provide mesotherapy?
As all cosmetic procedures which involve injections into the skin, mesotherapy should be performed by a qualified doctor specializing in cosmetic medicine. Beware of false or misleading claims, and steer clear of unaccredited practitioners.

What to know before scheduling a mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is very effective in giving freshness and a glow to facial skin; however, it is not a replacement treatment for dermal fillers, botox, laser skin rejuvenation or a facelift. The mostly treated areas are face, neck, decolletage, hands and scalp.
